Q. what is spotlight?
A. spotlight is a compact and surprisingly bright rechargeable L.E.D. flashlight. spotlight is used by people across the world to help make their world a brighter place. due to it's clever charging system, the convenient light is always at its peak power and easily within reach.
Q. how do i recharge my spotlight?
A. there are many ways you can recharge your spotlight. the first (principle) charging method is in the 12-volt power outlet socket (formerly known as the cigarette lighter) in your vehicle, be it a car, a truck, an s.u.v., a trailer, a boat or a plane! as if that's not enough, you can also charge them in any mains power outlet using our handy a/c adaptor.

Q. how bright is the spotlight?
A. brighter than lindsay lohan. the spotlight is 25 lumens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumen_(unit)) and can shine for 50 meters, providing more than 3 hours of light. you can easily read house numbers from the safety of your car!
Q. why does my spotlight glow red when in my 12v power outlet?
A. the spotlight glows red to show that it is connected and charging. if your spotlight is in the power outlet but does not glow red:
- please twist the head / bezel counterclockwise until you feel a click - setting the head to the CHRG (charge) position
- make sure the ignition is powered (can you charge any other 12 Volt accessories?)
- re-insert the spotlight into the 12 Volt socket
- check that the red glow indicator now shows
- if it does not, please contact us
Q. does the red indicator light turn off once the spotlight is charged?
A. no, the red light not only signals that the spotlight is receiving a charge, but it also gives you a cool ambient lighting for your car interior.
Q. is the spotlight waterproof?
A. the spotlight is submersible, with an IPX7 rating. IPX7 designation means the spotlight can withstand accidental immersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. more info on the International Protection Rating Code. if your spotlight does become wet, we recommend you to turn off the spotlight and let it dry.

A. 180+ minutes, when fully charged
Q. how long will a spotlight hold a charge (shelf life)?
A. it depends, a new fully charged spotlight can hold its charge for many months under normal conditions.
Q. does my spotlight come fully charged?
A. no, the spotlight comes is packaged and shipped with a partially charged battery. for best/brightest results please charge your spotlight for 2 to 4 hours.
Q. can I leave the spotlight charging in the car?
A. yes! the spotlight has a robust Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni - MH) battery that in addition to being environmentally friendly & recyclable, can handle partial charges without hurting its life or burn time.
also, the spotlight recharges using a slow trickle charge; this design allows the spotlight to be left in (and recharging) in your car for many days, weeks or even months without damage to the light, your car or battery. In summary, the spotlight can be used daily or left un-touched but will always be ready and fully charged when you need it.
Q: my car only has a 12-V power socket (no cigarette lighter socket), what do I do?
A: buy a new car. we recommend the Nissan Skyline GTR. :)
the spotlight was designed to fit in cigarette lighter sockets. due to the inconsistency of socket sizes in automotive manufacturing, we have included a fit clip adapter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64f-Q2XGNtg ) with every spotlight to help accommodate varying widths of socket.
alternatively you can pick up the sleek super socket that allows you to rock your spotlight and still have another socket for your GPS, cell-phone charger, or any other portable electronics. check out the super socket under accessories.
