Q. why does my spotlight glow red when in my 12v power outlet? A. the spotlight glows red to show that it is connected and charging. if your spotlight is in the power outlet but does not glow red:
A. no, the red light not only signals that the spotlight is receiving a charge, but it also gives you a cool ambient lighting for your car interior.
A. the spotlight is submersible, with an IPX7 rating. IPX7 designation means the spotlight can withstand accidental immersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. more info on the International Protection Rating Code. if your spotlight does become wet, we recommend you to turn off the spotlight and let it dry.

A. no, the spotlight comes is packaged and shipped with a partially charged battery. for best/brightest results please charge your spotlight for 2 to 4 hours.
A. yes! the spotlight has a robust Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni - MH) battery that in addition to being environmentally friendly & recyclable, can handle partial charges without hurting its life or burn time.
also, the spotlight recharges using a slow trickle charge; this design allows the spotlight to be left in (and recharging) in your car for many days, weeks or even months without damage to the light, your car or battery. In summary, the spotlight can be used daily or left un-touched but will always be ready and fully charged when you need it.

the spotlight was designed to fit in cigarette lighter sockets. due to the inconsistency of socket sizes in automotive manufacturing, we have included a fit clip adapter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64f-Q2XGNtg ) with every spotlight to help accommodate varying widths of socket.
alternatively you can pick up the sleek super socket that allows you to rock your spotlight and still have another socket for your GPS, cell-phone charger, or any other portable electronics. check out the super socket under accessories.
